This rifle is chambered for the .30-40 U.S. Krag cartridge. It remains in beautiful, almost unused condition. It is a standard rifle with a 30" barrel. Barrel retains 90% original blue mixed with smooth plum. Frame and magazine still retain 90% original finish mixed with smooth plum. The stock is lovely with a perfect JSA 1902 cartouche on left side. There is a repaired 2" crack on the left side of the stock that was professionally done. Comes with a 1899 Bayonet holder. ME reading is 1. Strong bore. Factory research letter. Includes bayonet. Springfield Research did not return up any further information.
