This is a standard U.S. Military issue trapdoor with a perfect SWP 1889 cartouche on left wrist. Standard features include a 32-5/8" barrel, chambered for the .45-70 govt cartridge, and all proper U.S. inspector stamps. Walnut stock is near mint with a script P on bottom. Barrel and bands retain nearly all of the brilliant factory blue. Perfect colors on block and tang. Mirror bore. Perfect action. Side plate retains all of the original factory blue. This rifle is virtually in as new condition, even the trigger guard and buttplate retain virtually all of the original factory blue finish. One of the best examples we've ever seen.
