This is a standard service model government issue M1 Garand semi-automatic service rifle. Chambered for the .308 cartridge. Frame was manufactured by Springfield and dates from March to June of 1945. It has a D28287-18SA 0-11B numbered bolt. Barrel is stamped "308 Winchester. 9 91 Short Chamber EE Singer 2 92". No cartouches on mint stocks. Metal retains virtually all of the parkerized finish. Trigger guard is stamped C-46025-3-SA. Strong bore. Perfect action. ME reading - 1-1/2. Comes with a reproduction leather sling. Receiver is glass bedded. Includes bayonet.
