Offered is a fine condition Marlin heavy barreled single shot falling block sporting rifle chambered for the .22 rimfire cartridge. Features include a 24" full heavy octagon barrel with blued finish, case colored frame, walnut stock, rifle butt, globe front, single leaf rear, and original Marlin tang long-range sight. Barrel retains approximately 75-80% original factory blue with some freckling and high edge wear. Frame retains approximately 20% original case colors, balance has toned out. Lovely original walnut stocks are proud to metal, never refinished, but there is a closed 4" crack (easily repairable) on left side. Action is fine. Strong bore with some frosting. You seldom see these sporting rifles chambered for the .22 cartridge.
