Extremely rare rifle manufactured from 1860 to 1871, even fewer manufactured with the rare Allen patent 1860 rotary disc tang peep sight. Standard features include 26" part octagon barrel, drop breech, and chambered for the .41 caliber rimfire cartridge. The special disc rear sight corresponds with the numbered sliding rear sight for alignment. The metal is a pleasing blue-brown patina with no pitting. Walnut stocks are excellent. Gun has a folding globe front sight. Near mint rifled bore. An impossible to find single shot rifle with one of the most interesting rear sights ever conceived.
