These fine bolt action rifles were manufactured between 1963 to 1974 utilizing a Mauser medium frame barreled action and stocked by FN. They were put together in Belgium. Chambered for the .243 Winchester cartridge. Standard features include a 23" lightweight barrel, folding leaf rear sight, ramp front sight, single stock bolt, sling eyes, with an engraved foreplate and trigger guard. The rifle is in excellent condition retaining virtually of the original factory blue, the trigger guard has turned a purplish hue, the walnut stock is excellent with sharp checkering with an added coat of varnish (not refinished). Excellent bore and perfect action. Made in 1964. This stock is not from the date range of 1969-1971 when they made the salt wood rifles. This is a Mauser action, not Sako. Not made with salt wood.
