This offering is for a standard Winchester Model 1895 rifle. Chambered for the .30-govt-06 cartridge. It has a 24" round barrel, sporting sights, walnut stocks, ebony fore end tip, and unusual carbine buttplate (original to gun). The walnut stocks are excellent, proud to metal, never refinished, with no cracks or chips. Barrel retains virtually all of the original factory blue finish. The receiver has faded to a smooth brown-grey patina. Bolt and magazine still retains 30-40% original factory blue turning plum. Perfect action. Excellent bore. Lovely early rifle in a popular caliber.
