This rifle was manufactured in 1916. It is a standard rifle chambered for the .38-40 Winchester centerfire cartridge. Standard features include a 24" full octagon barrel, full magazine, rifle buttplate, sporting sights, walnut stock, and blued finish. Rifle remains in superb all original condition. The barrel, tube, and sides of frame retain approximately 80-85% original factory blue mixed with some pleasing brown-blue patina. Even the bolt retains the majority of the factory blue, as do the screws. There is a small 3/4" scratch on the right side of the frame. Walnut stocks are excellent, proud to metal, never refinished, with no cracks or chips anywhere. Strong bore. Perfect action.
