This fine takedown rifle was manufactured in 1912. Standard features include 20" round barrel, high post front sight, sporting rear, high finish walnut stock, Savage logo hard rubber recoil pad, case colored lever, and blued finish. This short handy rifle is chambered for the popular .22 hi-power round, at the time the fastest production cartridge on the market. Rifle remains in superb condition. Barrel retains approximately 90% original factory blue with some light high edge wear. Receiver retains approximately 80% high polish factory blue with most wear on bottom of frame and takedown ring. Stocks are near mint with none of the usual cracks found on this model. The lever has traces of case colors, turned mostly dark. Screws have a large percentage of the original fire blue finish. Action is perfect. Strong bore with light frosting. Wonderful example of this popular model in very early production.
