17 1/2" long with a 13" long blade. The blade is a typical Collins & Co blade but is not maker marked. There is a "990" marked on the right side. The German silver backstrap is engraved with " J. H. SILVERBERG, CHARLESTON". Silverberg was a supplier of accoutrements to the south during the Civil War. The bone scales are in fine condition with no cracks or losses and have acquired a beautiful yellow patina. The leather sheath has lost the German silver tip but still retains the ornate lions face belt holder. Circa 1860.

Item Dimensions: ~18" L.
