Factory letter states this rifle was shipped on August 19, 1892 with a .38-40 caliber octagon barrel and plain trigger. Features include a s24" full octagon barrel, full magazine, rifle butt, sporting sights, walnut stocks, and blued finish. Barrel and tube are a smooth pleasing blue-brown patina. The frame is a fine smooth plum. Original walnut stocks are excellent, proud to metal, all original, never refinished, with some bubbling of finish on left side of fore end. Strong bore. Perfect action. Extremely handsome never messed with big bore 73 rifle.
