This is a standard Star Arms double action .44 percussion revolver that saw extensive use during the Civil War. This one has several military inspector marks. All matching numbers. Features include a 6" barrel, blued finish, double action, .44 caliber percussion, six-shot, and walnut grips with fine checkering. The barrel has turned a smooth lovely blue-brown patina. Frame retains approximately 75% of the original factory high polish blue finish. Cylinder retains approximately 50% with the balance plum. The trigger guard and straps are soft patina. Fine case colors on hammer. Revolver functions perfectly as double action only. Bore is near mint. Far above average Civil War Starr revolver.
