This rifle was manufactured in 1946. It was returned to the factory, has the rework P stamped on top of the barrel. Left side of the barrel is stamped Model 86. The 86 has been 'X'ed out and a 71 has been stamped above it and it also stamped 33 Winchester not typical 348. It has the long tang and the scrace bolt rear Winchester peep sight. STandard features include a 24" round barrel, half magazine, hooded ramp front sight, rear sight slot is plugged, pistol grip checkered walnut stock, and a checkered steel shotgun buttplate. The barrel and tube retain approximately 98% original factory blue finish. the receiver retains approximately 85% of the original high polish factory blue finish with most wear on bottom of frame. Stocks are excellent , proud to metal, with the majority of the factory checkering, and no cracks or chips. Near mint bore. Perfect action.
