This lot contains a shipping crate signed by the "Marlin Firearms Co" Of New Haven CT. Note the original "D & B" Detroit and Buffalo 'S.S." Steam Ship co. noted on front of crate. It is in excellent condition for its age, and would make wonderful conversation piece as a coffee table, or on general display. This create is repurposed with the lid on the bottom. There are markings on it with "D.D. Hanover Alpena MI" from the 1880's.
