This is a standard service model government issue M1 Garand semi-automatic service rifle. Chambered for the .30-govt-06. Frame dates from March to June of 1944. It has a D28287-12SA S-06 numbered bolt. Barrel is stamped SA-44. No visible cartouche. Stocks are excellent. Metal retains virtually all of the parkerized finish. Trigger guard is stamped C-46025-3-SA. Strong bore. Perfect action. ME reading - 2. Comes with an original bayonet and World War I sling. Rifle was obviously rebuilt using matching World War II barrel and receiver. It does not have the period lock-bar rear sight.
