Fine Stevens single shot rifle built on the 44 action. Chambered for the extremely accurate .25-25 Stevens single shot centerfire cartridge. Features include a 30" part octagon heavy barrel, folding globe front sight, a long range large disc rear sight, a Swiss buttplate, walnut stocks, blued finish, and case colored frame. In addition, the rifle is topped with a Stevens No. 73 tube scope and original mounts. The barrel is a pleasing mix of smooth blue-brown patina. Frame retains 30-40% original case colors. Walnut stocks are excellent, proud to metal, all original, and never refinished. Strong rifled bore. Perfect action. This is a fine example of a turn of the century single shot bench rifle, and the sighting equipment alone is worth well over $1,000.
