This standard Winchester Model 1892 .44 caliber rifle was manufactured in 1895. Features include 24" full octagon barrel, full magazine, crescent buttplate, walnut stocks, blued finish, and standard sporting sights. The barrel retains approximately 85% dulling reapplied blue, as does magazine. The receiver retains approximately 75% of the reapplied blue finish with some spotting and toning. Walnut stocks are excellent, having been redone at one time, no cracks or chips. Perfect bore and action. It is readily apparent that this rifle was refinished decades ago. It has since aged, patinad, and silvered out in carried areas. Strong stamps, rifle may have been factory redone. Still an excellent rifle with a good look in the best caliber.
