This beautiful rifle was manufactured in 1921 and is chambered for the large .38-55 caliber. It is a basic standard rifle in all respects, except for the famous Lyman Model 21 receiver sight installed. Often referred to as the "Slidin' Lyman". The rear sight slot has a filler insert and a high post sporting front sight. Features include a 26" full round barrel, full magazine, rifle butt, walnut stocks, and blued finish. The barrel and tube retains virtually of their original factory blue finish with some light plum. The high polish receiver blue remains at approximately 40-50%. Walnut stocks are in excellent condition, proud to the metal, never refinished, with no cracks or chips. Strong clean bore. Perfect action. A lovely late production .38-55 rifle.
