This scarce rifle was manufactured in 1895 and is in remarkable condition for a .22 caliber Model 1873, as most examples of this rifle surface in fair condition at best. Standard features include a 24" full octagon barrel, full magazine, and rifle buttplate. The top of the barrel and the brass follower are both stamped "22 Short". The barrel and magazine retains a beautiful 90% blue-brown smooth and perfect patina with sharp as new markings. The frame retains approximately 60% brilliant original factory with balance patina. Traces of case colors on lever and hammer. Superb walnut stocks are proud to metal. Strong bore. Perfect action. Exemplary .22 caliber Model 1873 rifle.
