This fine rifle was manufactured in 1936 and is the rather scarce carbine Model 99 lever action. Feature include a 20" round barrel with the carbine barrel band and curved carbine buttplate. The walnut stocks are near mint. The barrel retains virtually all of the original factory blue finish. Receiver retains virtually 95% original finish with a hint of thinning on the bottom and high edges. The lever retains approximately 50% of the bright case colors. Action is like new. Bore is excellent. Rifle is chambered for the classic .30-30 Winchester cartridge. Beautiful little pre-war.
