Offered is a beautiful high condition Sharps New Model carbine chambered for the .52 caliber centerfire(conversion) round. Features a mint three-groove 22" barrel. Gun is in phenomenal condition. Barrel retains virtually all of the original factory blue finish with a couple minor areas of browning/thinning. The frame retains 75% or better of the bold case colors. Walnut stocks are near mint with no cracks or chips. These Sharps converted cartridge carbines saw yeoman service in the winning of the West. This is an extraordinary example, even the screws retains most of their original fire blue factory finish. Approximately 27,000 of these carbines were converted with the three-groove barrels. The left side of the stocks has the perfect DFC ribbon cartouche. About as nice an example as you can find.
