This bolt action rifle was manufactured in 1939 and is chambered for the .220 swift cartridge that was introduced in 1936. Standard pre-war features include a 26" barrel, hooded ramp front sight, sporting rear, straight comb walnut checkered stock, steel checkered buttplate, and the receiver is stripper clip cut. Barrel and receiver retain virtually all of the original factory blue finish, as does the floorplate and trigger guard albeit some light high edge wear. Excellent stock with sharp checkering and no cracks, but there are two dents on left side of fore end. Perfect action. Excellent bore. An almost never seen rifle in this caliber manufactured prior to World War II.
