This fine big bore Winchester Model 70 was manufactured in 1955. It is chambered in one of the finest big game cartridges ever invented, the .300 Holland & Holland magnum. This rifle is in the classic pre-war style. Features a 26" barrel, with the ramp front sight, rear sight is plugged, straight comb walnut stock with checkered steel shotgun buttplate. The rifle sports a period correct Weaver scope and mounts. Rifle is in excellent condition retaining virtually of the blue finish on the barrel and frame. Floorplate and trigger guard retains approximately 98% original factory blue, thinning on high edges. The stock is equipped with sling swivels and a very minute chip at the retaining bolt. Stock is excellent with sharp checkering and an added coat of oil, but never refinished. Fine bore and action. A true classic pre-64 big bore.
