Life began as a standard early World War I German Luger chambered for the 9mm cartridge with a 4" barrel. All visible numbers match and factory stampings are strong as new. The gun was profusely and professionally chisel engraved in Germanic scroll pattern and then rust blued. It was then stocked with a custom pair of ivory grips. The magazine is not numbered and has a black plastic bottom. Even the grip retaining screws have been profusely engraved. The bore is mint and gun is fully operational. Retains virtually all of the custom reapplied finish. Extremely handsome and ornate early Luger.
