German bisque socket head incised “Germany Heinrich Handwerck Simon & Halbig 1” with multistroked eyebrows, blue sleeping eyes, open mouth, pierced ears, original blonde mohair wig; original jointed composition and wood body with original finish and red Handwerck stamp (wear on hands); antique slip, panties, shoes and socks. This is the doll used by the Ladies’ Home Journal as “Daisy” made by Handwerck. Few collectors realize that some “Daisy” dolls were made by Handwerck.

Condition: (Very Good).
