This Winchester Model 42 skeet gun was manufactured in 1936. It is chambered for the .410 - 3" cartridge, choked skeet. Features a 26" matted ribbed barrel, single bead front sight, takedown, blued finish, checkered walnut stock, pistol grip, with a WRA hard rubber buttplate. The barrel, frame, and tube exhibit approximately 97% original factory blue with just basic minor high edge wear and wear on front tube from pump. Mirror shiny bore and action works perfectly. Wood is excellent with no cracks or chips, but there is some varnish loss where stock meets buttplate. Right side of stock has brass plaque with dog and game etched "L.H. Wilkinson Roarin' Gulch 1936 .410 Gauge". Length of pull is 14-1/8". Sweet little presentation .410 skeet gun. With a bit of touch up stock work, it would be a beautiful little near mint gun.
