This is possibly the most perfect and important Lutz in existence. Clear base with opposing sets of two baby blue bands with one center band of white. All bands are separated without touching. Lutz bands are accented with white. This was not a production marble. This marble was acquired in 1966 from Glaswerf Wertheim Main on behalf of Dr. Herbert Kühnert, son of Gunter Kühnert, founder of G. Künhert & Co. Glassworks, Lauscha, Germany. In the accompanying shipping note from 1966 it is listed as No. 5 "1 Klondykemarbel". Dr. Herbert Künhert (1887 - 1970) was the author of "Urkundenbuch zur Thüringischen Glashüttengeschichte" (Historial Record of the Thuringian Glassworks, 1934).
