This is a standard International Harvester manufactured M1 Garand manufactured from December of 1952 to November of 1953. The barrel is dated "May 1953" and is stamped with a "P", "LMR D 6535448 A12 P M" and Ordinance wheel. The rear sight is the post WWII type. Front sight has Hex screw. There is a cartouche on left side but is not readable. The barrel does not have an ME reading. "P" on pistol grip. Chambered for the .30-06 cartridge with a 24" barrel. Wood is excellent. Retains about 80% of the parkerized finish. Has an OD sling and trap buttplate. A good example of a Korean War M1 Garand.
