Manufactured 1860 to 1870's. Chambered for the .42 rimfire cartridge. Features include a 26" part octagon barrel, varnished walnut stocks, single shot, and falling block action. Factory stamps are bold. All metal surfaces are a speckled gun metal grey patina with no pitting. Has the rear sight lever mounted on left side of frame, iron mountings, and sling swivels. Wood is excellent with most of the original varnish and has a 1" crack at bottom of tang, and 3/4" crack at top (easily repairable). Strong bore and perfect action. Handsome rifle.
