These revolvers were manufactured from 1859 to 1868 in Newark, New Jersey. Refered to as the "Navy type". Standard features include .36 caliber percussion, 6-1/2" octagon barrel, roll engraved five shot cylinder, blued barrel and cylinder, case colored frame, varnished walnut one piece stocks, and brass trigger guard and backstrap. Operates as a single action. All matching numbers including wedge. The cylinder shows the majority of the rolled engraving with minor pitting on face. All original nipples. The barrel has strong markings and retains approximately 30% of the original factory high polish blue. Perfect markings. Original front sight. Excellent bore. Frame colors have greyed out. Hammer has traces of case colors. Walnut grips are excellent and retain most of the original varnish with no cracks or chips. Screw heads are perfect except for loading lever screw, which is boogered. Operated perfectly with a tight lock up. A very clean example of a popular Civil War revolver.
