This impressive bowie knife was manufactured in the 1860's in Pond Hill, Sheffield. It is a large clip point with a 9-7/8" blade, maker stamped on ricasso. Features include German silver quillion, stag handles, four silver bolsters, and silver escutcheon. Overall length is 14-1/2". Comes with an original fine leather scabbard with nickel tip and throat. Blade is in fine clean condition with no pitting and does not appear to have been sharpened, but has a small chip on tip. A very impressive large bowie.
