According to the factory letter, this revolver was shipped as follows: caliber .41 long Colt, 5" barrel, blued finish, grips not listed, sent in a shipment of five guns to Hartley & Graham of New York on April 1st, 1881. It was then engraved by the famous and talented Hartley & Graham engravers where the nickel finish was applied, as well as the two piece pearl grips. The gun remains in beautiful condition with lovely engraving. Retains approximately 90% original factory nickel, with the balance a smooth gun metal grey. Front sight has never been filed. Rear trigger bow is stamped ".41 caliber". The pearl grips are in excellent condition with a couple of minor chips. All matching numbers. Indexes perfectly both single and double action. Strong bore with light frosting. Lovely early antique Thunderer.
