Beautiful high condition mid-war AC-43 with matching numbers chambered for the 9mm cartridge, with a 5" barrel, blued finish, and black composite plastic grips. Near mint bore and perfect action. All matching numbers. Retains approximately 90% of the original factory blue finish with thinning on grip strap. Grips are near mint with no cracks or chips. Includes two correct unnumbered P.38 magazines. Waffenamt stamp on frame and slide. Comes with a holster belt and SS belt buckle and is housed in a vintage Tuerkes box. One of the most desirable features with any World War II pistols are those that come with the original capture papers from the soldier that brought the gun home. Copies of original capture papers accompany this pistol, which was brought home by one William Rojsza. This P.38 is listed by serial number on the capture papers and was brought back in September of 1945. Rojsza was a private enlisted in 1942 and remained in service for the remainder of the war. He was from Baltimore, Maryland. Holster has had the serial number inscribed inside. A wonderful outfit with direct World War II trophy provenance.
