Standard Springfield Armory M1 Garand rifle was manufactured between March of 1945 and June of 1945. The barrel is dated "1 SA 6-45". It has the proper World War II lock bar sight. Stock is stamped "SA" with the Ordinance wheel (proper for this gun). Rifle has the proper front sight with Allen-head screw. Trapdoor buttplate. T.E reading is 2, MW equals 1.5 with an excellent bore. Perfect action. There is a piece of unit-marked tape on stock. There is a "P" in a circle on the wrist and a tiny ordinance wheel on the bottom of the wrist. Wood is nice and dark. A couple usual bumps and a little roughness on the bottom in front of the floorplate. Otherwise it is a nice clean original World War II rifle. Has a 24" barrel chambered for the .30-06. Retains 90% of the original parkerized finish. ME reading - 1.5. Bright bore.
