There is a ghost set of numbers under the serial number along with a "B" and an "8". The underside of the barrel, the bottom of the right grip, back of cylinder, and left side of frame are all stamped "R.A.C." for Renaldo Carr. The bottom of the butt is stamped "U.S. Army Model 1901" and has the standard lanyard ring. The two piece walnut grips are in excellent condition with no cracks or chips. The gun retains fully 90% of the original high polish factory blue throughout, with the majority of the fire blue on trigger. The grips are not numbered. Standard features include 6" barrel, blued finish, double action, chambered for the .38 long Colt cartridge. The screws remain in untouched condition, albeit one right side screw is slightly boogered. Operationally perfect. Bore is strong with some light frosting. Front sight is unaltered. Extremely fine condition example of a standard Philippine Insurrection Army issue revolver.
