Offered is a standard double action military issue six shot double action chambered for the .38 long Colt cartridge. The military number on butt is 11490 and has a "J&J" inspector stamp. The release is stamped 1055. Cylinder has the three arrow inspector stamp. Last patent date on the barrel is March 5th, '95. The hard rubber Colt grips are etched 2091 and "WI" incised on the left grip. Barrel measures 6", cylinder rotates counter-clockwise. Extremely clean bore. Finish is basically a dull blue patina. Screws are excellent. Gun was manufactured in 1898. These revolvers were very popular in the war with Cuba.
