Factory letter states that this model 1874 business rifle was invoiced at the Bridgeport factory on April 30th, 1879 to Schuyler, Hartley & Graham in New York City. Listed as .45 caliber standard business rifle with a 28" heavy round barrel, double triggers, open sights, and oil finished walnut stocks. The barrel is basically a grey-brown clean patina and is stamped "Old Reliable Sharps Rifle Co. Bridgeport, Connecticut" and "Business .45". Has the folding ladder sight, double set triggers, and standard rifle buttplate. Wood is very good with no cracks or chips. Top of comb has seven kill notches and has darkened. Frame is basically gun metal grey with no trace of color. Action is perfect. Strong bore.
