This is a typical G&H high grade custom sporting rifle built on the Mauser action in the typical G&H pre-war style. It is chambered for the famous .300 H&H magnum. Features include a 25" barrel, blued finish, hooded ramp front sight, steel G&H quick-release side mounts, topped with a Lyman all American 2.5x scope. Barrel has the G&H address. Gun has a Lyman peep sight, checkered bolt knob, stippled fore end bridge, beautiful American walnut stock with fine checkering, black horn tip, left side cheek piece, a vintage red rubber recoil pad, and a steel pistol grip cap with an inlaid silver ID tag inset in butt. Wood is excellent with sharp checkering and fine figured grain with some light storage marks. Optics are perfect. Mint bore and action. Most of the blue remains on trigger guard and floorplate. Typical fine custom work from the G&H workshop. A classic.
