This Broomhandle Mauser falls into the serial range of a standard war-time commercial model. Features include a 5-1/2" barrel, blued finish, grooved walnut grips, adjustable rear sight, with German proofs, and chambered for the 7.63mm cartridge. It has all visible matching serial numbers. Near mint bore. Perfect action. Traces of fire blue on extractor. The gun is a basic smooth blue-brown patina throughout and extremely clean. Lanyard ring in butt. Grips are original but not numbered. This rig comes with an original holster/shoulder stock in excellent condition with no cracks and numbered 243. Also included in this lot is the original leather hanger that is marked "Hans Romer 1917" and "NFU-ULM" and includes an original cleaning rod. Wonderful early Commercial rig.
