This is a typical long rifle, no manufacturer or gunsmith stamp on either barrel or sidelock. It is a percussion .44 caliber, 34" full octagon barrel, set triggers, striped stock, brass patchbox, multiple brass inlays, engraved sideplate and hammer, semi-fancy brass trigger guard, and wrap-around brass buttplate. Metal surfaces are basically grey patina. Set triggers work. Stock is repaired at the mid-section forearm but is otherwise very good. Rifling is visible but dark.
