Carbine was manufactured in 1915. Standard carbine with 20" round barrel, full magazine, blued finish, walnut stocks, carbine butt, saddle ring and folding carbine rear sight. Chambered for the .30-30 cartridge. Offered is a classic old school Winchester .30-30 carbine. It has all the early features including post front sight. The barrel and tube retains approxiamtely 90% of the original but dulling factory blue. Frame is a clean soft patina with approximately 30% original blue. Walnut stocks are excellent with no cracks or chips, just a couple hunting marks. Vintage compass (1/2") in the left side of stock. Action is perfect. Strong rifled bore. This is a very clean nice looking used, but well cared-for, pre-war carbine.
