The mere sight of this rare shotgun should be enough to get the heart racing of any military shotgun collector. It is your basic Model 11 semi-automatic 12 gauge riot gun with a 20" cylinder bore, barrel blued finished, checkered walnut stock, and the Remington logo hard rubber buttplate. The left side of the frame has "U.S." with the Ordanance bomb, as does the top of the barrel. The humpback receiver (like the Browning Auto Five) is matted on top. The entire gun is in as new condition with 100% blued finish on barrel and frame, the wood stocks are as new with the Ordanance wheel F.J.A. stamp on left side. Bore and action are mint. Comes in its original Remington box with matching serial number, along with 20" (length) CYL choke five shot 12 gauge. Box is complete and is in very good condition with the proper original matching end label. Accompanied by an original Model 11 sales brochure. This is the finest and only boxed example of Remington autoloading shotgun that this writer has seen. Riot guns are extremely difficult to find, coupled with the rarity of the U.S. markings, and in the original box in this condition, it is doubtful a nicer U.S. stamped example exists anywhere. Truly a museum piece for the military shotgun collector. Simply an amazing find.
