Offered is a beautiful matching pair of mid-19th century London made finest quality single shot dueling pistols. .54 caliber percussion system with clean smooth bores and perfect actions. Beautiful checkered walnut stocks. Silver plaque on back of wrist. Barrels are 7" full octagon with most of the original brown finish. Brass nose caps. Brass tipped ebony rods. Platinum ring breach. Engraved tang hammer and locks. Top of barrel and sideplate are maker stamped. Beautiful fire blue remains on the engraved trigger guards. Comes in a vintage period wood display case with original bullet mold, ebony handled turn screw, cap tin, ebony handled cleaning rod and an original flask stamped "Dixon & Sons Sheffield". Beautiful original cased set of highest quality in top condition from a very famous well-known maker.
