Here is a true Great War veteran. Manufactured in 1917, the height of conflict in the trenches and was probably a GI bring back trophy as it has definitely been there. It has all matching numbers except the rear toggle. It retains approximately 70% original factory blue finish. Most of the wear seems to be holster use as evidenced on left side plate and rail and thinning on the barrel. Excellent bore so this example was well cared for and cleaned. Sharp original grips. An original wood bottom magazine not numbered. All proper inspector marks. There is some pitting on the left end of the muzzle, as well as pitting on the frame left rail and left side plate.
