This revolver dates to the first year production of the New Police Model and was manufactured in 1896. Standard features include 4" barrel, blued finish, six shot, double action, chambered for the .32 Police cartridge, and gutta percha grips. Back strap is engraved "New York Police". As to the finish, the gun retains fully 70% of its original high luster blue finish, with the balance blending to a lovely soft brown patina. The grips are very good with a couple of minor chips at base. Indexes properly. Bore is perfect. An interesting New York Police gun dating to the era of the infamous Tammany Hall.
