Rifle was shipped from the factory February 20th, 1886 as a rifle with a 26" full octagon barrel, full magazine, and chambered for the .45-70 cartridge. Features the case colored frame, lever, hammer, and buttplate with blued barrel and tube. Sights are standard folding rear and blade front. Gun remains in excellent condition. The barrel and tube retains approximately 80-90% strong original blue with some minor freckling. The frame, lever, hammer, and nose cap retains at least 85% of the brillaint case colors; toning on bottom. Walnut stocks are excellent with no cracks or chips. On the rear stock previous owner has carved his name "H. Patrick 1915" with five kill marks on the right side and "H. Patrick" on the left side. Wood has usual hunting bumps and bruises, but the rifle remains in excellent all original condition.
