This rifle dates to the early Shiloh Rifle Manufacturing Co. manufactured in Farmingdale, New York and represents the finest and most historically accurate Sharps rifles ever produced. This is the Big 50 standard sporting rifle. Features a 30" octagon barrel, double set triggers, rifle butt, 1859 Lawrence type rear sight, and a Venier tang sight. Barrel is in excellent condition, retaining virtually all of the original factory blue. Perfect stamps. Frame retains most of the original case colors starting to darken. The lever has faded. Wood is excellent with no cracks or chips. Most of the color remains on buttplate. Mint bore and action. Of course, top of barrel is stamped "Old Reliable" and "Caliber 50 2-1/2". Literally indistinguishable from the old Sharps rifles.
