This is a standard Model 1911 U.S. Army/U.S. Property pistol manufactured in 1918. Factory letter includes: shipped September 10th, 1914 to the Bencia Arsenal in Army Point, California to a commanding officer. It is referred to as the Black Army. Standard features include 5" barrel, blued finish, diamond checkered walnut grips, and chambered for the .45 ACP. Left side of the frame is stamped "United States Property" with eagle head inspector on left side. Right side is stamped "Model of 1911 U.S. Army". Barrel is stamped "H" and "P". Has all proper World War I parts. Retains virtually all of the expertly restored dull blue finish with some minor imperfections. Factory stamps are perfect. Has all proper small parts. Beautiful bore. Comes in an original World War I Warren Leather holster with web belt, 1918 dated magazine pouch, and accessory pouch.
