This gun began life as a typical Ithaca manufactured model 1911 World War II pistol with a standard 5" barrel, semi-automatic, chambered for the .45 ACP cartridge, and manufactured during World War II. The left side of the slide is stamped "Ithaca Gun Co.", left side of the frame is stamped inspector "F.J.A." as well as "A A" for Augusta Arsenal rebuild. Right side of frame is stamped "M 1911 A1 U.S. Army" as well as "United States Property" with Ordinance wheel. Top of slide has proof "P". Barrel is stamped ".45 Auto 7791193". The gun has been completely polished and reblued to a high gloss finish. Sports a pair of Pachmayr wrap-around grips. Mint bore and perfect action. Shoot or restore.
