Arguably the finest factory manufactured target rifles ever produced, this rifle was manufactured in 1949. Standard features include a 28" heavy round barrel, blued finish, pistol grip uncheckered stock, checkered steel buttplate, magazine fed, and bolt action. It is chambered for the .22 LR cartridge. Factory drilled and tapped for the scope blocks, still present. Has the globe high profile front sight. Has been drilled and tapped and now sports one of the more unusual and scarce target sights this writer has seen. the sight was manufactured by Wittek Mfg Co. in Chicago. Exquisite aperture. Has a steel frog Springfield type sling. Adjustable rail under forearm. Walnut stock is excellent with a couple of normal bruises. Frame retains virtually all of the matte blue finish. Barrel has some spots where the finish has come off the gun due to exposure and would greatly benefit from a professional refinish, but is shootable as is. Clean rifled bore and perfect action.
